The 2024 edition of the highly anticipated Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia, a major casino trade event, is set to take place in Macau. In a recent press release, the organizers confirmed that the event will not be held in Singapore next year. The combined event, branded “G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo 2024,” is scheduled to occur from June 4 to 6 at the Venetian Macao casino resort, operated by Sands China Ltd.
1. New Opportunities in the Asian Gaming Industry
Organizers stated that this combined event will offer fresh prospects within the Asian gaming and integrated resort sectors. Following the success of the 2023 events, they expect more than 100 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors to participate in G2E Asia and Asian IR Expo 2024 in Macau.
2. G2E Asia’s Resurgence in Macau
After a hiatus of three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a G2E Asia-branded event made its return to Macau in July of this year. The 2023 event, titled “Asian IR Expo + G2E Asia 2023,” comprised exhibitions and conferences, marking a significant revival in the industry.
3. History of G2E Asia
G2E Asia had been an annual fixture in Macau from 2007 until 2019. However, the event was suspended from 2020 to 2022 due to pandemic-related restrictions. In 2022, a special edition of G2E Asia was hosted in Singapore. This year, another G2E Asia-branded event took place in Singapore from May 30 to June 1.
The return of G2E Asia to Macau in 2024 underscores the resilience and revival of the gaming industry post the pandemic-induced disruptions. With a focus on innovation, education, and industry networking, G2E Asia 2024 aims to rejuvenate the sector, paving the way for a promising future in the Asian gaming landscape.
