Playzido, a leading content creation platform by Light & Wonder, has introduced its innovative gaming offerings to Michigan following the acquisition of a B2B supplier license from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB). This expansion allows operators in Michigan to access an array of captivating games developed through Playzido’s proprietary Remote Gaming Server (RGS) platform.
Diverse Game Selection in Michigan
Playzido’s entry into the Michigan market promises an exciting array of gaming options. Among the initial games set to launch with operators in Michigan are titles like “Charlie’s Angels,” “Diamond Multiplier Respin,” and “Blazing 777 2x3x5x.” These games are designed to provide players with a dynamic and engaging gaming experience.
Dana Jackel, Head of US Commercial at Light & Wonder iGaming, expressed the significance of this achievement, stating, “This new license for Playzido in Michigan is a significant moment for us in terms of creating and delivering content that truly appeals to players in the state.” Playzido’s platform has gained recognition as one of the industry’s most robust, having achieved significant success in Europe.
Jackel further added, “Everyone at Light & Wonder is ecstatic to harness the Playzido technology to bring next-level studios and games to our operator partners and players in Michigan to enjoy.” The introduction of Playzido’s platform is expected to enhance the gaming landscape in Michigan and cater to the diverse preferences of local players.
Performance of Michigan’s iGaming and Sports Betting Market
In addition to Playzido’s launch in Michigan, the state’s iGaming and sports betting market continues to thrive. According to the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), commercial and tribal operators collectively reported $175.4 million in gross online casino gaming and sports betting receipts for August. This figure represents a slight decrease of 0.4% compared to July’s $176.1 million.
iGaming gross receipts contributed $152.2 million, while gross sports betting receipts amounted to $23.2 million. When combined, the adjusted gross receipts (AGR) from iGaming and online sports betting reached $153.1 million, with $137.2 million from iGaming and $15.9 million from online sports betting. While iGaming AGR experienced a notable increase of 16.8% compared to the same period in 2022, sports betting AGR declined by 1.3%.
Michigan’s iGaming and sports betting market remains vibrant, attracting both operators and players with its diverse offerings and potential for growth.
