SunBet Expands into New African Markets through Partnership with Sportingtech

SunBet, an online bookmaker focusing on Africa, has partnered with betting and gaming platform provider Sportingtech to expand its operations in three new African territories. SunBet, which is owned by South Africa’s Sun International, will gain access to Sportingtech’s Quantum platform through this agreement.

The Quantum platform offers a wide range of features, including coverage of over 65 sports, 9,000 games, and more than 1,000 betting markets. SunBet plans to introduce the platform in its existing markets as well as in the new regions it targets for expansion across Africa.

While the specific countries where SunBet intends to expand were not disclosed, the company mentioned that it has identified three well-established territories as its target markets.

Simon Gregory, the General Manager of SunBet, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This partnership will be of immense benefit to us as we continue to expand. Sportingtech brings extensive expertise and a high-quality product offering, making them the ideal partner for us in this venture. We look forward to growing together in these African markets.”

Mark Schmidt, the Director of Sales in Africa for Sportingtech, highlighted the potential of established African markets and expressed confidence in entering them alongside SunBet. He stated, “The support of a prominent operator like SunBet showcases the strength of our offering, and we are excited to provide a superior betting experience to customers in these markets.”

By joining forces with Sportingtech and leveraging the Quantum platform, SunBet aims to enhance its presence in the African online betting industry, capitalizing on the opportunities presented by these selected African territories.
