Butler National Corporation, a prominent player in the gaming and special mission aircraft modifications industry, has announced a significant leadership change. Christopher J. Reedy, who has been a part of the Butler National team for over two decades, has been promoted from Chief Operating Officer to President and Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move reflects Reedy’s extensive experience and expertise, positioning him as the ideal leader to steer the company forward.
Christopher J. Reedy: A Journey of Excellence
Combining a unique blend of legal and engineering acumen, Christopher J. Reedy has established an impressive track record in both the gaming and aviation sectors. His journey with Butler National began in November 2000, and over the years, he has taken on various pivotal roles within the organization. Notably, he assumed the role of Secretary in 2005 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer earlier this year.
R. Warren Wagoner, Chairman of the Butler National Board of Directors, expressed his confidence in the leadership transition, stating, “I believe that Chris Reedy is the right person to lead the company through a period of change. His proven, complementary experience and skills in both aviation and gaming establish him as the perfect fit for the role of Butler National President and CEO. I am confident that Mr. Reedy will leverage his twenty-plus years of Butler National experience to lead the Company in the best interest of shareholders and as a valuable resource for the Corporation.”
Butler National’s Headquarters Relocation
In addition to this leadership change, Butler National has recently relocated its corporate headquarters to the New Century Airport. Situated approximately four miles from its previous location in Olathe, the new offices are now housed at One Aero Plaza in New Century, Kansas.
Reedy commented on this move, stating, “Moving our company headquarters to a new, expanded Airport facility brings several efficiencies. It allows our leadership to be on-site at a modification facility and creates a central hub for engineers, sales, and avionics operations. The facility also offers a professional location to meet with customers and expand operations.”
Expanding Horizons: Sports Betting
Last year, the Kansas Lottery approved Butler National Casino’s sports betting contract. The group, which manages Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Dodge City, received approval to operate three lottery wagering platforms authorized by the state, as well as sports betting operations at Boot Hill Casino. Over the course of the five-year contract, a 10 percent statutory revenue share will be directed to the state, further reinforcing Butler National’s commitment to contributing to the local economy and gaming landscape.
With Christopher J. Reedy at the helm as President and CEO, Butler National Corporation is poised for a transformative period. Reedy’s wealth of experience and his proven track record in the gaming and aviation sectors make him an ideal choice to guide the company’s future. As the company continues to evolve and grow, this leadership change is a testament to Butler National’s commitment to excellence and innovation in its field.
