He commented, “Seamless connectivity is the lifeblood of today’s hospitality experience, and we are gratified to support TDC in the delivery of this amenity for Penn Entertainment’s patrons.”
Penn Entertainment’s Recent Endeavors
Penn Entertainment recently completed the acquisition of Barstool Sports, building on its 36% stake acquisition in February 2020. This strategic move further solidified its omnichannel approach to elevate the Barstool Sports brand. The Barstool Sportsbook is now operational in 15 states, with Penn successfully launching retail-branded Barstool Sportsbooks at its various properties across the United States.
Financial Performance Highlights
In the financial realm, Penn Entertainment reported $1.6 billion in revenue for the fourth quarter. This represented an increase of 0.8% compared to the same period in 2021. While net income for the quarter was $20.8 million, down from $44.8 million in Q4 2021, adjusted EBITDAR decreased 2.5% year-on-year to $468.3 million. On a positive note, adjusted EBITDA (excluding rent) showed a robust 18.8% increase from Q4 2022, reaching $438.3 million.
