Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24th, Parimatch, among many other companies, has stepped up to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by the conflict. What sets Parimatch apart is its dual approach, not only offering aid but also procuring military equipment for Ukraine’s defenders.
Financial Contributions:
Parimatch has allocated a substantial sum towards aiding Ukraine. Initially, they spent UAH 42 million, with UAH 39 million directed towards procuring ammunition and UAH 3 million for essential supplies like medicine, clothing, and foodstuffs. Moving forward, an additional UAH 18 million will be allocated for humanitarian aid and supporting the country’s defenders. This includes crucial equipment such as binoculars, body armor, drones, helmets, thermal imagers, and night vision devices.
Employee Involvement:
Despite the conflict’s toll on its operations and staff, Parimatch remains deeply engaged in supporting Ukraine. Employees have actively participated in volunteer activities, ranging from purchasing goods and medicine to cooking meals for defenders and refugees. Some have even joined Ukraine’s armed forces, territorial defense forces, and cyber forces. The company has fostered a culture of solidarity, ensuring that those who wished to continue their service were accommodated while also providing full compensation and emergency financial aid to all employees.
Organizational Support:
Parimatch has leveraged its resources and infrastructure to facilitate humanitarian efforts. They have established warehouses in Kyiv to coordinate aid distribution, allowing volunteers to efficiently manage supplies. Moreover, the company has donated a significant portion of its office equipment to Ukraine’s territorial defense forces, including printers, laptops, monitors, network equipment, and modems. This dual approach of financial support and material donations underscores Parimatch’s commitment to aiding Ukraine’s defense and recovery.
