Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines, August 18, 2023 – On August 18, 2023, the FBM Foundation took swift action by organizing a relief operation under the “FBM Tulong sa Pagsulong” initiative. The aim was to provide assistance to families affected by the devastating impact of Typhoons Egay and Falcon. In an effort to aid communities grappling with the aftermath of these natural calamities, the organization distributed 2,000 food and 2,000 non-food relief packages tailored to address the immediate needs of the affected families.
Standing Strong in the Face of Adversity
The Barangay San Miguel in Calumpit, Bulacan, bore the brunt of Typhoons Egay and Falcon, leaving over 2,000 families in dire circumstances. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the FBM Foundation took proactive measures to extend relief and support to those affected by these natural disasters. Collaborating with 18 dedicated FBM Foundation volunteers, the organization launched a relief operation to provide much-needed assistance to distressed families.
Led by Mr. Pepe Costa, the representative of FBM Foundation, and in collaboration with Hon. Glorime Lem Faustino, the Mayor of Calumpit, Bulacan, and Hon. Dave Braian Sambilay, the Barangay Captain of San Miguel, this collective effort showcased the power of community partnerships in times of crisis.
Tulong sa Pag-Sulong: Relief Operation Aid for Natural Disasters
FBM Foundation’s “Tulong sa Pag-Sulong: Relief Operation Aid for Natural Disasters” initiative aims to bring solace, aid, and hope to communities grappling with the aftermath of natural calamities. Its primary objective is to ensure the security, welfare, and health of individuals during emergencies triggered by natural disasters.
Vítor Francisco, Director at FBM Foundation, explained, “The core objective of the project is to provide immediate support to victims of natural calamities, including typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and similar weather-related events.”
He further added, “The aim of this project is to alleviate the burdens and challenges faced by affected communities through the implementation of relief operations, supplies, and assistance during times of crisis.”
