September 23, Rizal, Philippines – On September 23, FBM Foundation embraced sustainability with a tree-planting initiative at Masungi Georeserve in Rizal. With the enthusiastic support of over 20 volunteers, this event marked the beginning of a series of environmental actions planned by the organization for the entirety of 2023.
In an era where environmental challenges loom large, FBM Foundation’s Puno Para sa Kinabukasan program exemplifies the necessary steps towards a greener planet. This sustainable action, which took place at the renowned Masungi Georeserve, showcases a holistic approach to environmental conservation with the dedicated involvement of passionate volunteers.
Planting the Seeds of Change
The Puno Para Sa Kinabukasan Project commenced with a tree-planting and nurturing activity within the breathtaking landscape of Masungi Georeserve, located in Rizal. This natural wonder is not only a hotspot for biodiversity conservation but also an ideal setting for eco-friendly initiatives.
Under the guidance of rangers Sir Jerome and Sir Nilbert, 24 volunteers came together to plant over 30 trees and 15 saplings, demonstrating a profound commitment to environmental awareness. Their willingness to spend a day in nature, get their hands dirty, and actively contribute to reforestation efforts serves as a testament to their dedication to the cause.
Becoming Ambassadors of Environmental Awareness
