Rivalry, the sports betting and media company, has ventured into the realm of online casinos with the introduction of a custom-branded slots category on its interactive casino platform, Casino.exe. This exciting release enhances Rivalry’s offering by incorporating more than two dozen slot-style games, further diversifying its iGaming portfolio.
Rivalry Slots: A Unique Casino Experience
Rivalry Slots carves out its identity with a custom-branded page within Casino.exe, embracing the design aesthetics reminiscent of early 2000s internet culture. The page is enriched with interactive elements and delightful Easter eggs, creating an engaging and entertaining atmosphere for players.
Steven Salz, Co-Founder and CEO of Rivalry, expressed his thoughts on this expansion, highlighting the significant role casino gaming has played in the company’s growth: “Rivalry’s entry into the casino segment last year has quickly grown into a meaningful source of player activity and revenue. Slots are far-and-away one of the most popular online casino genres and will markedly complement our existing iGaming offering in terms of both betting handle and player satisfaction. We’ve also maintained our high product standard by uniquely incorporating slots into our proprietary Casino.exe platform, which will allow us to continue scaling our iGaming catalog without compromising the premium experiences that users come to Rivalry for.”
Design Innovation for Player Engagement
Adding a unique touch to the casino experience, David King, Director of Product Design at Rivalry, emphasized the company’s philosophy of creating fundamentally entertaining experiences. Rivalry Slots incorporates elements of design nostalgia to cater not only to the younger Millennial and Gen Z audience but also strategically sets itself apart from the myriad online casinos available to players.
Rivalry’s Ongoing Casino Product Suite Enhancements
In June, Rivalry unveiled a series of enhancements to its casino product suite. These updates included the launch of Casino.exe, Rivalry’s proprietary casino platform, on its iOS mobile app in Ontario. The expansion also introduced eight new games, spanning a mix of game shows, table games, and instant games. Rivalry had initially launched its casino product in Ontario in March, marking a significant milestone in its iGaming journey.
Strong Q2 Performance
For the second quarter of 2023, Rivalry posted impressive numbers, with a betting handle totaling $112.2 million, reflecting a remarkable increase of 192% compared to Q2 2022. Revenue saw substantial growth, reaching $8.5 million, a notable 60% increase, while gross profit surged to $3.8 million, marking an 86% rise. These robust figures underscore Rivalry’s continued success and growth trajectory in the competitive iGaming landscape.
