The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has reinforced its sales team with the addition of four experienced leaders, aiming to enhance the marketing and sales efforts to position Las Vegas as a premier destination for meetings and events. The new team members are set to play a pivotal role in driving meeting, convention, and tradeshow sales for both the destination and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

New Sales Leaders:

Rebecca DeLuca – Vice President of Destination Sales:

Responsibilities: Overseeing the sales and marketing efforts of the destination sales team.
Background: Brings diverse experience from Caesars Entertainment, MGM Resorts International, Gaylord Hotels, and Cardinal Health.
David Sargent – Senior Director of Trade Show and Convention Sales:

Location: Based in Chicago, representing LVCVA domestically and internationally.
Expertise: Over 30 years of marketing experience, with leadership roles in major hotels, Freeman, Choose Chicago, and Visit Orlando.
Mai Lim – Director of Intermediary Sales:

Previous Roles: Director of Global Sales at Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI), experience with MGM Resorts International, Station Casinos, and Viejas Casino and Resort.
Jon Watson – National Sales Manager (Washington D.C.):

Background: Previous roles at Caesars Entertainment and Destination DC, with experience at Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts.

Key Responsibilities:

The team will collaborate to market and sell Las Vegas as an attractive destination for meetings, conventions, and tradeshows.
Focus on growing sales for the Las Vegas Convention Center, a key venue for events.
Las Vegas Visitor Spending Records:

In 2022, Las Vegas achieved a record-breaking $79.3 billion in total economic output related to visitor spending.
