Macau SAR Government and Concessionaires Collaborate for Festive Revitalization Events

The Macau SAR Government, in collaboration with the city’s six concessionaires, has unveiled a series of festive events planned for six historic districts during the Christmas period. The joint initiative aims to revitalize and showcase the cultural richness of these districts through special installations, interactive games, and performances organized by leading integrated resort operators.

Event Highlights by Concessionaires:
Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG):

Venue: Lai Chi Vun Shipyard
Date: 23-25 December and 31 December
Features: Large-scale Christmas gatehouse, a five-meter-high Christmas tree, interactive booth games, and street performances.
Melco Resorts:

Venue: Mount Fortress Garden
Date: 16 December to 1 January
Features: Large-scale festive installations, photo booths, light displays, a giant twinkling bear, a seven-meter-tall Santa Claus, nightly snow drifts, light shows, and musical performances.
MGM:

Venue: Open space opposite Oficinas Navais No.2
Date: 23-25 December and 30-31 December
Features: Oversized bamboo lion head showcasing Macau’s cultural fusion, themed lighter fare from local F&B brands, and weekend Music Cruise in December.
Sands China:

Venue: The Venetian Macao’s outdoor lagoon and Macau Cultural Center
Date: Mid-to-late December
Features: Performances by the Hachioji High School Wind Orchestra from Japan and the Macau Youth Symphonic Band, complemented by light displays.
SJM:

Leadership Transition and Continuity:
The passing of Dr. Chen Lip Keong, founder and Group CEO of NagaCorp, is not expected to impact existing agreements, including a significant shareholders’ loan and a subscription agreement for the Naga 3 project. Chen Yiy Fon, one of Dr. Chen’s sons, will take on the role of Group CEO, ensuring continuity in leadership and adherence to established business strategies.
