Responsible Gambling Officer (RGO) Requirement:
Every venue with over 20 gaming machines must appoint a dedicated Responsible Gambling Officer during operational hours. These officers are tasked with identifying and assisting patrons exhibiting signs of gambling-related issues, facilitating self-exclusion requests, and connecting individuals with support services.

Advertising Restrictions:
To minimize temptation and reduce exposure, licensed venues are prohibited from displaying gaming machine-related signage on or near ATM or EFTPOS terminals. Additionally, signage directing patrons to these facilities must not be visible from gaming areas.

Gambling Incident Register:
Venues are obligated to maintain a Gambling Incident Register to log instances where patrons display behaviors indicative of gambling harm or request self-exclusion. This register serves as a critical tool for tracking and addressing such incidents.

ATM Placement Regulations (effective January 2025):
By January 2025, all ATMs in gaming venues must be positioned at least five meters away from gaming areas and must not be visible from the entry points. This physical separation aims to encourage breaks in gambling activity by limiting easy access to cash.
