In its quarterly report, IBIA revealed that it had received 76 reports of suspicious betting activities in the third quarter, a slight decrease from the previous quarter’s 88 reports. The majority of these reports originated from Europe, accounting for 37 cases, while Asia, South America, and Africa collectively contributed 16 reports. North America registered a single suspicious betting report.
Among the sports that raised concern, tennis emerged as the leader with 33 alerts, highlighting the need for continuous vigilance within this sector. Additionally, the growing prominence of esports was evident with 16 reports, reflecting the industry’s expansion and the influx of operators focusing on this arena.
