New York sets new sports betting revenue record for November

New York posted its strongest month of online sports betting to date, finishing November with a record 280.6 million dollars in gross gaming revenue. The surge reflects the state’s continued growth in mobile wagering, with operators benefiting from a packed sports calendar that included NFL, NBA, NHL and college football.

New York posts strongest online betting month to date

The November total surpasses the previous record of 248.9 million dollars set in May and marks a 21 percent increase over the same month last year. Month on month, revenue rose nearly 18 percent.

Handles reached 2.61 billion dollars. While this fell slightly short of October’s all-time high of 2.64 billion dollars, it still ranked as the second-largest wagering month in state history. The combined hold for operators was 10.78 percent, one of the strongest figures recorded in 2025.

FanDuel sets new state record with $131.9m in revenue

FanDuel continued to lead the market by a wide margin. Its 131.9 million dollars in revenue set a new state record for any operator in a single month. The company also crossed the one-billion-dollar handle mark for the second straight month, producing a hold of more than 13 percent.

DraftKings followed with 89.1 million dollars in revenue, also a personal best in New York. With 916.3 million dollars in wagers, DraftKings posted a 9.72 percent hold. Combined, FanDuel and DraftKings accounted for nearly 80 percent of all operator revenue in November, underscoring their continued dominance in the state.

DraftKings, Fanatics and Caesars drive statewide surge

Fanatics Sportsbook delivered its highest monthly revenue since launching in New York, reporting 22.9 million dollars from 209.1 million dollars in wagers. Caesars generated 14 million dollars from a 186.2 million dollar handle, and BetMGM reported 13.5 million dollars off 171.6 million dollars.

ESPN Bet, which transitioned to theScore Bet in December, reported 3.9 million dollars in revenue from 56.5 million dollars in wagers. Rush Street Interactive posted 4.1 million dollars from 49.9 million dollars, while Bally Bet recorded 1.1 million dollars from 16.8 million dollars. Resorts World Bet was the smallest operator in November, generating 229,357 dollars from a 2.8 million dollar handle.

Thanksgiving week and high-margin results fuel growth

November is one of the busiest periods on the sports betting calendar. NFL weeks are in full swing, NBA and NHL seasons overlap, and major college sports are active. The Thanksgiving week alone pushed the statewide handle above 637 million dollars, an 18 percent jump from the previous week.

Operators also benefited from several high-margin results across football, which boosted the overall hold. FanDuel and DraftKings both posted stronger than usual win rates, helping to propel statewide revenue to record territory.

With a tax rate of 51 percent on operator revenue, the state generated an estimated 143 million dollars from mobile wagering in November. Year to date, tax receipts have surpassed 1.19 billion dollars, reinforcing New York’s position as the largest and most lucrative online sports betting market in the United States.

New York enters final months of 2025 with strong momentum

New York’s market is expected to remain strong through the end of the year, supported by ongoing NFL betting and increased activity around the holiday period. November’s results also signal that, despite competition from neighboring states, New York’s operator mix continues to drive exceptional wagering volume and record profitability.

Whether December can match or exceed November will depend largely on sports outcomes and the performance of the newly relaunched theScore Bet, which will take ESPN Bet’s place in the market.
