Daniel Negreanu reveals 40-event WSOP schedule

Daniel Negreanu 2026 WSOP Schedule

On Monday, in conjunction with the 2026 WSOP schedule release, GGPoker ambassador and global poker superstar Daniel Negreanu revealed his personal 40-event WSOP schedule on Twitter/X.

Of course, Negreanu has assisted in making the WSOP schedule for some time, so he has had plenty of time to create his own personal schedule. All in all, 28 of his 40 tournaments will cost at least $10,000, while he will play 17 no-limit hold’em events. 15 of his tournaments will be mixed events, while the other eight events will be Pot-Limit Omaha.

According to Negreanu’s Twitter/X post, he will be prioritizing later start times, with 34 of his 40 tournament entries coming at 12pm or later. The only exceptions are the two super-turbo bounty events, the WSOP Main Event, the $5,000 Seniors event, and his two smallest buy-ins: an $800 NLH and the $300 Gladiators.

Daniel Negreanu’s 2025 WSOP results

According to his final WSOP vlog, Daniel Negreanu secured himself a $181,097 profit at the 2025 World Series of Poker. This resulted in roughly a 10% profit overall, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at in the grand scheme of things.

Negreanu, admittedly, was rescued by some well-timed near-min cashes in the $250,000 Super High Roller, as well as the $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, two of the three most expensive events of the entire series.

Negreanu’s best result of the series came during the first week of action, when he finished second in the 217-entry $10,000 Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship for $313,615, narrowly missing out on bracelet number eight.

The two-time WSOP Player of the Year finished eighth on the annual leaderboard, with Shaun Deeb becoming the only other two-time champion in 2025. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll attend the upcoming WSOP Europe series in Prague to chase the leaderboard again.

Daniel Negreanu’s WSOP success

Of course, the World Series of Poker wouldn’t be the same without Daniel Negreanu. He has won seven bracelets, winning in five different formats. He recently broke an 11-year drought, winning the incredibly prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship, a title that the poker community claims is won by the best overall poker player in the world.

Negreanu is the only player to have won a bracelet at three different live WSOP locations, winning at WSOP, WSOP Europe, and the now-defunct WSOP Asia-Pacific.

Erik Seidel, Michael Mizrachi, Jeremy Ausmus, Adrien Mateos, Georgios Sotiropoulos, Sam Soverel, Alex Foxen, Artur Martirosian, Aleksejs Ponakovs, João Simão, and Norbert Szecsi have all won bracelets in three different venues, with one of those venues being an online bracelet.

Unmistakable success

One of Negreanu’s most incredible qualities has been his ability to grow as a player as the game has changed over more than two decades. He publicly put out all his live tournament profit/loss reports from 2013 to 2023, though he has failed to do so for the last two years.

From 2013 to 2023, excluding 2020, he earned nearly $11 million in profit, despite a $2.2 million loss in 2023. Of course, with sponsorships and all other outside money, that number is likely a relatively small percentage of his net worth, which is estimated to be in the $70 million range.

2022+$1,625,545
2023-$2,228,174

Though Negreanu picked up a bracelet in 2024, we know he suffered a pretty big financial hit. In his words, at the end of the 2024 WSOP Paradise series, where he finished down nearly $1 million, he said on his vlog:

“What do I want to say in closing? I don’t know; the year’s over. It wasn’t a good one. We won four tournaments; the problem is it’s just all skewed. All the big buy-ins – everything $100K plus – we did nothing. We never got anywhere, never got anything going.”
