Ebony Kenney leapfrogs Kristen Foxen to become Triton’s number one woman

Triton Ebony Kenney

Just four years ago, Ebony Kenney’s average live buy-in was around $1,000. Now, she is Triton’s all-time winningest woman.

With her latest cashes this week at Triton Jeju, Kenney has passed Kristen Foxen, the winningest woman of all-time, and is up to $3,381,500 in Triton cashes.

Kenney’s latest cash put her over $4,000,000 in career live tournament earnings, leapfrogging Annette Obrestad and Maria Lampropulos to become the 10th-winningest woman of all-time.

Ebony Kenney’s 2026 Triton Jeju performances

Kenney has already added to her ridiculously hot Triton form by cashing four of six events she’s played in at Triton Jeju 2026, cashing for a total of $610,000.

Her big score came in the $30,000 8-Max event, where she finished 4th for an eye-watering $432,000.

With the $100,000 Main Event starting today and another week of Triton events still to play, it’s unclear whether or not Kenney will continue to grind the series.

Of course, Foxen and Kenney have two very different attitudes toward poker.

Foxen is one of the hardest-working grinders, having won GPI Female Player of the Year five times and been an original PokerStars SuperNova Elite member in 2011, 2012, and 2013, playing at least 2.5 million cash game hands per year.

Foxen, the winningest woman of all time, is a Triton Poker regular and grinds high roller tournaments all over the world, including the PokerGO Tour. She and her husband, Alex Foxen, are the most successful poker duo on planet earth.

Kenney, meanwhile, has been very vocal about only playing poker when she feels like it. Outside of WSOP stops and the occasional Triton, the ACR Poker-sponsored pro is rarely seen playing live poker, often opting to grind online.

In 2022, she was brought to Triton Jeju by ACR/WPN CEO Phil Nagy for her very first high-roller experience, playing in events 20 times her previous highest buy-in. She, historically, came in 5th in the $200,000 Coin Rivet Invitational for $1.7 million, one place short of what would have been the largest cash for a woman in poker history.

Entering the top-10

Having won $610,000 this week, Kenney shot up the all-time women’s money list, moving up from a virtual tie with Xuan Liu in 17th place all the way up to 10th place.

Kenney has now earned more than several legendary women in poker, including Vanessa Rousso, Leo Margets, Kitty Kuo, J.J. Liu, Annette Obrestad, and Maria Lampropulos.

Obrestad, however, recently announced that she is returning to poker after seven years away from the game, which could see her threaten to re-enter the top-10. She just exited the top-10 in December for the first time since her famous 2007 WSOP Europe Main Event win.
