Pragmatic Play takes Smart Studio live with Cactus in Brazil

Interim of Brazil's regulator appointed to permanent position

Pragmatic Play has gone live with its Smart Studio product at Cactus Gaming in Brazil, giving the operator branded live casino tables across its local offering. The supplier said the setup is now live across Cactus Performance BR’s brands in the regulated market.

The timing fits where Brazil is right now. The country’s fixed-odds betting market moved into its regulated phase in 2025, and suppliers are now fighting for shelf space with operators that want more than a standard live casino feed.

Cactus gets more control over how its live casino looks

Smart Studio is built around customization. Pragmatic Play says operators can shape the look and feel of the game environment, which lets them put more of their own branding into the live product instead of using a generic setup.

For Cactus, that means a more tailored live casino floor for Brazilian players. Pragmatic Play said the launch includes localized live titles such as Blackjack, Roulette, and Baccarat, all delivered through the new studio setup.

The deal lands in a market that is getting crowded fast

Brazil has quickly become one of the busiest markets in online betting and casino. Federal rules now allow only SPA-authorized companies to operate legally, which has pushed suppliers and platforms to lock in deals early with operators already positioned for the market.

Cactus is already pitching itself as an all-in-one iGaming platform with API, white-label, affiliate, and payments tools. Other suppliers are also using the platform to reach operators in Brazil, including Amusnet, which said last year that its Cactus tie-up added 25 operators to its local distribution network.

Pragmatic Play is adding another layer to an existing partnership

This is not a first deal between the two companies. Pragmatic Play said the Smart Studio launch expands an existing relationship with Cactus rather than starting a new one, and both sides described it as part of a closer commercial partnership in Brazil.

That gives the announcement a straightforward angle. Cactus gets a live casino product that looks more like its own, and Pragmatic Play gets deeper into an operator network that is already active in one of the busiest markets in Latin America.
