GGPoker and Grosvenor Casinos join forces

GGPoker Grosvenor

Two of the biggest names in poker in the United Kingdom, GGPoker and Grosvenor Casinos, have become partners. The real headliner is that players can receive cash boosts of up to 20% at special live poker tournaments hosted at Grosvenor Casinos, should players either buy in with their GGPoker account or if they win a satellite from GGPoker.

Live poker cash boosts

Anyone who uses their GGPoker account to enter special events at Grosvenor Casinos, such as the G200, G300, Goliath, and GUKPT Main Events, will automatically qualify for cash boosts.

Given that the Goliath is the largest event in all of Europe in terms of field sizes, it’s incredible that GGPoker would offer 20% more. The 2025 Goliath hosted 12,961 runners in the £200 event, creating a massive prize pool of £1,970,070. In a theoretical world where every player who cashed registered through GGPoker, they could be on the hook for nearly £400,000 more.

Should the 2025 Goliath winner, Paul Worsley, have had this benefit last year, he would have pocketed an extra £63,328 on top of his massive £316,640 top prize.

GGPoker + Grosvenor Casino benefits

  • 20% Cash Boost on winnings stemming from the Goliath, G200, and G300 events
  • 10% Cash Boost on winnings stemming from all GUKPT Main Events
  • Exclusive Promotions, including a £5,000 last longer competition at the Goliath
  • On-Site Perks, such as exclusive GGPoker merchandise and online promotional rewards at live events

A win-win partnership

Angela Martin, GGPoker’s UK & Ireland Head of Marketing, discussed how the partnership is going to help poker grow even more throughout the United Kingdom.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with Grosvenor Casinos. At a time when rewards are being scaled back across much of the gaming industry, GGPoker is determined to do the opposite.

“Supporting the live poker scene is vital for the health of our favorite game, and we are thrilled to give real value back to this fantastic community.

“With our massive cash boosts and dedicated satellite tournaments, if you plan to play a Grosvenor Casinos event in the future, you’ll now have new pathways with added value for players qualifying through GGPoker.”

Grosvenor Casinos’ Director of Gaming, Sue Price, echoed Martin’s statements.

“This is a hugely exciting partnership for us and the poker community in the UK. We’re confident that the strengths we both bring will result in improved experiences with more value delivered to our players.

“We also aim to grow our poker offer over the duration of the partnership, whether that be through bigger events, more events, or increased prize pools.

“We’re very much looking forward to working with the team at GGPoker, who’ve already shown they have a very clearly aligned ambition to ourselves, which is exciting for our teams and players alike.”

It’s worth mentioning that Grosvenor Poker online, which is run on the iPoker skin, will not be affected whatsoever. They will continue to host Goliath satellites, though they will not come with the additional 20% cash boosts.

Grosvenor Poker made headlines in February after they stripped their champion, Thomas Clack, of his £40,000 Grosvenor Poker sponsorship for winning the 2025 National Poker League (NPL) Player of the Year. He was found to be using real-time assistance (RTA) while on the online Grosvenor platform.

2026 Goliath to be even bigger

Given that the Grosvenor Goliath nearly reached a £2,000,000 prize pool last year, and that the tournament has had an increase in field size every year since 2011, they are advertising an estimated £2,000,000 prize pool.

The buy-in will remain at just £200, and it’s not uncommon for some players to fire 10 or more bullets to secure that potentially life-changing Day 2 bag.

Players can already satellite into the Goliath on GGPoker from just £1, with the first £30 buy-in satellite to Goliath Main Event Day 1 available on May 3rd. That satellite is guaranteed 10 seats.

GUKPT Main Event satellites will start to appear in the GGPoker lobby in the coming days, with GUKPT Luton running from May 14th to the 24th.
