Tom Dwan’s cash game record has been shattered as a high roller named ST at the King Poker Cup in Jeju, South Korea, won a $5,029,000 pot over the weekend. ST made the nuts against Triton Million champion, Aaron Zang, to win the largest pot ever won in live-stream poker history.
Dwan had beaten Wesley Fei in a $3,081,000 pot nearly three years ago during the 2023 Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game.
The hand
While there’s no record of the stream that we can find at the moment, a popular clip posted by Twitter user @kimi3906 spread around the internet like a wildfire. The clip has already been seen nearly 250,000 times across social media, with Adam Hendrix sharing the clip, obviously baffled by the size of the enormous cooler.
The King Poker Cup Million Dollar Cash Game was being played with blinds at $1,000/$2,000 with a $3,000 squid. Wiktor “Limitless” Malinowski and Chinese high-stakes pro Xuan Tan were also a part of the action.
The two-minute clip cut to the action with the board reading with $1,687,000 already in the middle.
ST, in the under the gun +1 position with a mystery hand, checked over to Zang, who bet $800,000 with for the second-nut straight.
ST took his time before jamming for $1,671,000. Zang, who had roughly $1.7 million behind, was in agony and talked to his opponent while in the tank for over a minute. He looked defeated as he put in the call.
ST turned over for the stone nuts, and a world record live stream pot of $5,029,000 went over to ST. All Zang could do was scratch his head as he was obviously disappointed in his massive misfortune.
Other massive cash game pots
With so much money in poker nowadays, the cash game pots are only getting bigger – whether it’s private games, heads-up battles, or televised cash games.
Let’s check out some of the most memorable huge cash game pots in recent memory.
Tom Dwan vs. Wesley Fei
Of course, we’d be foolish not to bring up the aforementioned Tom Dwan – Wesley Fei hand from 2023. In a hand that took well over 15 minutes, a five-bet pot, Dwan bravely hero-called Wesley’s triple barrel for $786,000 with on .
Fortunately for Dwan, Wesley ended up having and Dwan scooped what ended up being the largest televised pot in the history of poker for almost three years.
It’s worth mentioning that Doug Polk, who recently saw his Lodge Card Club close indefinitely after a raid by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), had seen Wesley’s cards during preflop action. Polk was then put in an awkward position to try not to give off any tells during the course of the hand that could have affected the action.

He would then face off against Dan “Jungleman” Cates the next day in a series of six heads-up battles, with buy-ins ranging from €1,000,000 to €6,000,000. Jungleman won four out of the six matches, winning a total of €15,000,000 in profit.
