The Super High Roller Cash Game is back on PokerGO, and it wouldn’t be televised nosebleed stakes poker without Alan Keating making an appearance. Along with Keating, Andrew Robl, Phong “Turbo” Nguyen, Kirk Brown, Tan Nguyen, Justin Gavri, and Darin Feinstein joined him at the PokerGO Studio to play a $500/$1,000/$1,000 cash game.

Keating would, as he often does, win the pot of the night against Feinstein. In a matter of just a few minutes, Feinstein would get felted as Keating won a massive $1,238,000 pot in disgusting fashion, with both players making a set on the turn and river.

The hand

Players were playing $500/$1,000 with a $1,000 big blind ante, a $2,000 straddle, and a $4,000 double straddle.

Darren Feinstein limped from early position with . Kirk Brown raised to $19,000 from the small blind with . Alan Keating, in the big blind, just called with . Both Turbo Nguyen and Andrew Robl folded their trash hands in the straddle positions.

Feinstein then put in the odd limp-three-bet to $90,000. After a minute in the tank, Brown got out of the way, and Keating called after taking about 45 seconds himself.

With $206,000 already in the middle, neither player was necessarily thrilled as the flop came . Feinstein put in a continuation bet of $100,000, and Keating called.

The pot had swelled to over $400,000 when the case arrived on the turn, giving Keating second set and leaving Feinstein stone dead. After Keating checked, Feinstein put in a snap-check.

The river brought the , giving Feinstein a worse set, and there was only one way the hand was going to end. Keating jammed for just over pot, $416,000 effective, and Feinstein practically beat Keating into the pot.

Unfortunately for Feinstein, he was shown the awful news and reacted accordingly as he threw his hands up in disbelief.

“Holy shit. What a fucking river. Wow. That was amazing. Oh my goodness.”

Alan Keating’s recent $2.44M pot

Alan Keating and Antonio Esfandiari were both involved in a massive $2.44 million pot on Day 2 of the three-day Super High Roller Cash Game back in January.

It was one of the biggest cash game pots of all time, though a record $5,029,000 pot was televised in Jeju, South Korea, just a few days ago, shattering Tom Dwan’s three-year-old record ($3,081,000) from the 2023 Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game.

The hand started toward the end of the stream, with players adding a $2,000 straddle and a $4,000 double straddle on top of their usual $500/$1,000 blinds with a $2,000 big blind ante.

Andrew Robl opened the action by raising to $20,000 with from the small blind. Esfandiari, who was the original straddler, three-bet to $58,000 with . Keating, who provided the double straddle, cold four-bet to $125,000 with . Robl made the fold, and Esfandiari called, not knowing he was an 85% preflop favorite.

With $273,000 already in the middle, the board was an extremely spicy , giving Esfandiari top set while Keating flopped second pair and an open-ended straight draw. Keating followed through for $75,000, and Esfandiari went deep into the tank, plotting his next move.

Esfandiari took an unusual amount of time to make a flop decision, two minutes and 20 seconds, before putting in an extremely large check-jam to the tune of $1,084,000 – 14 times Keating’s c-bet and over three times the size of the pot.

Nearly four minutes later, Keating made the call to create a massive pot of $2,441,000. The two players decided to run it twice, with Esfandiari a massive 73% favorite to win.

Accounting for missing cards, Esfandiari had just over a 50% chance to scoop, while Keating only had about a 5% chance of winning both runouts.

Keating took the first half of the pot as the board ran out to give Keating a straight, while Esfandiari won the second half with a clean . This is, to this day, the largest pot ever to be chopped on television.
