EPT Monte Carlo is considered the richest stop on the poker tour – not just because it’s held in Monaco, but because all the nosebleed grinders come to play the six-figure buy-ins.
The €100,000 EPT Monte Carlo High Roller for One Drop field featured just about every big name in poker you could imagine, with the final table being as star-studded as any. In the end, it was Lebanon’s Albert Daher who took down the €2,055,000 ($2,409,709) top prize. Daher topped the 76-entry field, beating Stephen Chidwick in heads-up play to win the second-largest cash of his career.
Funny enough, Daher’s biggest cash came in the last event he cashed – the $250,000 Triton Invitational at WSOP Paradise, when he finished third for $3,490,000.
The win also put Daher at #1 on Lebanon’s all-time money list, breaking a virtual tie with Kassem Deeb.
Daher reacts
The win was the 13th of Daher’s career, his fifth EPT title, and his third EPT High Roller title. He previously won a €25,000 event at EPT Monte Carlo in 2018, followed by a €25,000 title at EPT Cyprus in 2023.
Daher ran like God at the final table, breezing by the likes of Chidwick, Wiktor “Limitless” Malinowski, 2025 PokerStars leaderboard champion Enrico Camosci, and Teun Mulder.
In his postgame interview with Joe Stapleton, who is commentating for the final time in his 15-year career, Daher acknowledged his good fortune at the table.
“I mean, it always feels great to run super hot and hit every flop. I don’t know, I’ve never been this lucky in my life. It was a really good time, honestly.”
Daher started off his poker career playing on the smaller side, playing three and four-figure buy-ins. He quickly rose to prominence and had some great early results, which allowed him to quickly forge a career in the high-roller scene.
When asked if he ever predicted he would make it this far, Daher shrugged it off a bit.
“Once you start a poker career, it’s pretty hard to predict where you’re gonna go. I’m happy to have reached this level. I don’t know what to say, it’s a really good thing.”

Chidwick vs. Kenney for the top spot
With Chidwick coming in second place and Bryn Kenney finishing fourth, Chidwick continues to close the gap at the top of poker’s all-time money list. Chidwick is currently a little over $3 million behind Kenney with $78.5 million in earnings, compared to Kenney’s $81.6 million.
Chidwick will have a chance to finally become #1 for the first time in life, should he win the 2026 EPT Monte Carlo €250,000 Super High Roller, as long as Kenney doesn’t cash. He, as well as Kenney, is in the mix for Day 2 of the prestigious tournament.
From a total of 38 entries, with two coming from Chidwick, 14 come back for day 2, with everyone eyeing the top prize of €3,212,000.
Chidwick will start the day in 10th place with 25 big blinds, while Kenney starts in seventh with 36 big blinds. 2025 WSOP Paradise Super Main Event champion Bernhard Binder starts in 11th on 22 big blinds, tied with Super Main Event runner-up Jean-Noel Thorel.
