Stake has launched in Argentina, adding another regulated Latin American market to its growing regional network. The launch follows recent activity in Mexico, Brazil, Peru and Colombia.
The operator is using the stake.bet.ar domain for the Argentine market. The launch gives Stake another local-language and local-currency offer in a region where online casino and sports betting growth remains a major focus for global brands.
Argentina adds another provincial market
Argentina does not regulate online gambling through one national system. Licensing is handled by the country’s provinces and by the City of Buenos Aires, which makes market entry more complex than in some other LatAm countries.
Stake’s Argentina launch is linked to Hotel Casino Tandil, with approval allowing use of the Stake brand and related assets. The operation also shifts to the stake.bet.ar domain.
That setup gives Stake market access through an existing local licence holder. It also keeps the brand within Argentina’s provincial gambling framework, where operators usually need local partnerships or local approvals.
LatAm expansion has accelerated
Stake has been building its regulated LatAm presence over the past two years. The company launched in Peru and Colombia before moving into Brazil and Mexico. The Mexico launch came ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which Mexico will co-host with the United States and Canada. That launch gave Stake a chance to build local visibility before one of football’s largest betting periods.
Argentina now adds another football-led market to that regional strategy. Local interest in football, mobile betting and casino content gives international operators a clear commercial target, but rules still vary by province.
Localisation stays important
Stake’s Argentina offer includes support for Argentine pesos and local payment methods. That is important in a market where currency access and payment reliability can shape player adoption. The operator’s wider product mix includes sportsbook, slots, live casino, roulette, blackjack and other table games. In Argentina, those products must follow the licence conditions and rules of the approved local route.
Competition is already active
Argentina’s online gambling market already includes several international and regional brands. Betsson, bet365, BetWarrior, Codere and other operators have used provincial partnerships to build local access.
Stake’s arrival adds another major global name to that group. The launch also shows how Argentina remains attractive despite its province-by-province regulatory model.
