Bally’s Intralot signs shared services deal with BCLC to support lottery technology in Canada

Bally’s Intralot has signed a new shared services agreement with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, extending its existing relationship with one of Canada’s biggest lottery operators. The contract was signed through Intralot Canada Ltd., the group’s Canadian subsidiary.

The deal is focused on lottery technology and operations rather than a new market launch. Bally’s Intralot said the agreement will support BCLC’s next phase of lottery development and strengthen day-to-day operations for players across British Columbia.

Deal covers operations support and future upgrades

Under the agreement, Intralot Canada will provide end-to-end operational and technical support across BCLC’s lottery technology and lottery operations. The contract also includes a roadmap for future upgrades and the integration of new capabilities.

BCLC described the shared services model as part of its digital transformation work. The British Columbia Lottery Corporation said the new structure is meant to create a more efficient and resilient operating framework across both retail and digital channels.

BCLC builds on an existing supplier relationship

This is not a new partnership from scratch. Bally’s Intralot and BCLC have already worked together on lottery and betting technology in recent years, including BCLC’s move to Intralot’s cloud-based lottery system and sportsbook technology.

That makes the new agreement more of an expansion than a first entry. It gives Bally’s Intralot a deeper role in a regulated Canadian market where BCLC already has a large retail and digital footprint.

Canada remains an important market for lottery suppliers

The BCLC deal strengthens Bally’s Intralot’s position in North America as lottery groups spend more on system upgrades, digital support and stronger day-to-day operations. The contract also strengthens its presence in the Canadian market.
