Green Valley Ranch Resort has unveiled renovated meeting and convention spaces as part of its $200 million property-wide upgrade in Henderson, Nevada. The Station Casinos property also introduced The Lawn, a new outdoor event venue. The changes give the resort more space for conferences, receptions, private events and entertainment bookings outside the Las Vegas Strip.
Meeting space reaches 69,000 square feet
The upgraded meeting and convention area covers 69,000 square feet. The refreshed spaces are designed for corporate events, social gatherings, conferences and large private functions.
The renovation includes updated interiors, new design finishes and more flexible layouts. Green Valley Ranch is aiming to attract planners who want resort-style meeting space in the Las Vegas locals market.
The property is in Henderson, a short drive from the Strip. That gives event organisers access to the Las Vegas market while keeping meetings outside the main resort area.
The Lawn adds outdoor event option
The Lawn is the main new outdoor venue in the upgrade. It gives the resort another setting for receptions, ceremonies, brand events and private gatherings.
Outdoor venues have become more important for resorts trying to offer flexible event packages. They can support weddings, corporate functions and entertainment events that do not fit standard ballroom formats. Green Valley Ranch already has hotel, casino, dining, spa and pool amenities. The Lawn adds another event space that can be used with those resort features.
Ballrooms also receive upgrades
The refreshed areas include the Estancia Ballroom and foyer, which can host up to 900 guests for receptions. It can also accommodate 1,300 guests theatre-style or 600 guests for banquet events.
The Grand Ballroom at The Grand Event Center has also been upgraded. It can host up to 1,100 guests for reception or banquet-style events and up to 1,500 guests theatre-style. The Grand Event Center also supports live concerts and comedy shows. That gives the property a venue for both meetings and entertainment events.
Upgrade includes rooms and resort areas
The convention and event space work is part of Green Valley Ranch’s wider $200 million renovation. The project also includes refreshed guest rooms, suites and other property areas.
Station Casinos has been updating parts of its southern Nevada portfolio as the locals casino market stays competitive. At Green Valley Ranch, the upgraded event areas add to a resort package that already includes gaming, dining, spa and hotel amenities.
