Björn is the main founder of CasinoNews.io and brings close to two decades of iGaming and digital business experience to the team. While his strength lies in scaling online products and building high-performing teams, he is the operator and dealmaker behind the scenes. Björn guides the site’s commercial direction and plays a central role in its growth strategy. Quality products are close to Björn’s heart, and at CasinoNews.io, he works with the entire team to build one that stands out from the crowd and that provides real industry insight.

The iGaming world has long been driven by short-term acquisition thinking, but Björn has consistently bet on building things with lasting value. At CasinoNews, that means creating a platform that functions as a genuine hub for the industry, backed by the kind of operational discipline that only comes from having built and scaled businesses first-hand.

Björn’s experience in iGaming spans leadership roles across Sweden, the Philippines, Malta, and Finland — covering everything from affiliate products and poker platforms to licensed casinos and multi-market marketing operations.

It started with a bold move at 19, leaving life as a welder and ski instructor in northern Sweden for Stockholm and the digital world. He found his footing fast, rising to oversee 200 employees in Manila within his first year in the industry. That early experience of managing large teams and complex product portfolios across cultures shaped the operational instincts he carries today.

From there, Björn moved through some of the industry’s most recognizable names, from Mr Green to ComeOn Group, before channeling that experience into building his own ventures. MJ Group came and went with a successful exit. Good Momentum LTD followed, along with a run of Finnish-facing gambling products.

Co-founding CasinoNews.io through Revbay is the latest chapter and one that brings together two decades of commercial iGaming experience with a clear vision for what a modern gambling media platform should look like.

Interview with Björn Norin

🏗️
You've built and exited several businesses in iGaming. What made you want to build yet another one with CasinoNews.io?
Honestly, I think once you've been in this industry long enough, you start seeing the same gaps everywhere. There's a lot of content out there, but not a lot of craft. Most gambling sites are built around traffic and monetization first, and the reader is almost an afterthought. I wanted to build something where the product itself was the point and something people actually enjoy spending time on.
🎨
As Creative Director, how do you think about what makes a good iGaming media product?
It has to feel alive. And trustworthy. Too many sites in this space fall into the marketing aspect of the industry and get stuck with one foot in the idea of "promoting casinos". We want to create a good product. And good product design means constantly asking whether the experience you're delivering matches the expectations of your audience. What's happening in the industry globally is exciting. It deserves a platform to match.
🌍
You've worked across the Philippines, Malta, Sweden, and Finland. How has operating across different markets shaped your thinking?
It teaches you humility fast. What works in one market can completely fail in another, even when the product is identical. Player behavior, trust signals, regulatory tone all varies enormously from one market to another. The best thing I took from those years is the ability to zoom out and ask what the person on the other side of the screen actually needs, rather than assuming I already know.
🎯️
Looking back, what's the business decision you're most proud of?
Probably stepping away between 2019 and 2022. It sounds counterintuitive, but knowing when to stop is just as important as knowing when to push. I came back sharper, with a clearer sense of what I actually wanted to build and why. Without that break, I don't think Revbay or CasinoNews would look the way they do today.
📢
What does the iGaming industry need more of right now?
Honesty, mostly. There's a lot of noise — a lot of sites saying the same things, chasing the same keywords, publishing the same affiliate-driven content. The industry is genuinely fascinating if you look past the surface. There's real regulatory drama, there are interesting business stories, there are product innovations worth paying attention to. We want to cover that side of it, and do it in a way that respects the reader's intelligence.
