Formula 1 has named FanDuel as its new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada, giving the Flutter-owned sportsbook a direct role across F1’s race-weekend digital coverage.
The multi-year agreement was announced ahead of the Miami Grand Prix and marks F1’s first betting operator partnership tied to the U.S. market. The deal adds another commercial layer to the sport’s push in North America, where its audience has expanded through races, streaming, and social media coverage.
FanDuel will appear across F1 race-weekend content
FanDuel’s odds, live insights and betting-related content will be integrated into Formula 1’s website and app during race weekends.
The partnership gives FanDuel access to one of the most data-heavy sports in the world. F1 races generate constant timing, strategy and performance information, which can be used to support live content and race-weekend markets.
Formula 1 said eligible fans will be able to engage with markets linked to race winners, podium finishes and head-to-head driver matchups. More wagering formats are expected to be added later in the season.
The deal deepens F1’s betting strategy
The FanDuel deal follows F1’s wider move into betting partnerships this year. In March, the sport announced Betway as its first official betting operator, with that agreement covering Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Canada and Mexico.
FanDuel gives F1 a direct U.S. sportsbook partner at a time when the series is trying to turn American interest into deeper commercial activity. The U.S. now hosts races in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas, giving F1 more room to build race-weekend products around local audiences.
For FanDuel, the deal adds another premium sports property to its portfolio. The company said F1’s real-time data gives it room to create more interactive race-weekend experiences for customers who are legally allowed to use its sportsbook.
Responsible gaming remains part of FanDuel’s messaging
The announcement also comes days after FanDuel named Fox Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews as a Responsible Gaming Ambassador. She joins the company’s responsible gaming program alongside Craig Carton, Randy Livingston, Anita Ondine Smith and Keith Whyte.
FanDuel said Andrews will help promote betting awareness, spending tools and safer play messaging. That timing gives the company a public responsibility push as it expands into a faster, data-driven sport with live markets across race weekends.
