Paradise Co 1H26 casino revenue rises despite June fall

Financial market chart showing rising bar graphs and upward trend lines against a blurred city background

Paradise Co reported KRW477.6 billion in casino revenue for the first half of 2026, up 5.1% from a year earlier, despite a sharp fall in June. The South Korean operator recorded KRW63.2 billion in casino revenue for the month, down 21.2% year on year and 35.6% from May.

June ended several months of higher revenue earlier in the year. Paradise had reported cumulative casino revenue of KRW415.2 billion through May, up 10.9% from the same point in 2025.

June table revenue falls as machine income rises

Table-game revenue fell 23.6% year on year to KRW57.6 billion in June. Table games are Paradise’s main source of casino revenue, so the fall drove most of the monthly decline.

Machine revenue moved in the other direction. Revenue from slot and other gaming machines rose 16.8% from a year earlier to KRW5.56 billion, but the increase did not make up for lower table-game revenue.

Casino drop reached KRW641.1 billion during June, up 10.3% from the prior year. The figure was 16.2% lower than in May, pointing to lower activity from the previous month as well as a weaker revenue outcome.

The difference between higher drop and lower revenue reflects the role of hold rates in casino reporting. Paradise did not provide a reason for the June revenue decline in its monthly disclosure.

First-half total stays ahead of 2025

The first-half figure leaves Paradise ahead of last year despite the June slowdown. The operator recorded year-on-year gains in four of the first six months of 2026, helping offset the June decline.

Paradise operates foreigner-only casinos in South Korea, including venues in Seoul, Busan and Jeju. It also has an interest in the Paradise City integrated resort near Incheon through Paradise Sega Sammy, its joint venture with Japan’s Sega Sammy Holdings.

The company recently completed repayment of a KRW100 billion loan through Paradise Sega Sammy. The loan had received a 12-month maturity extension last year and was repaid on March 31, 2026.

Paradise City is an important part of the group’s resort business, with overseas visitor numbers affecting casino demand in South Korea. The next monthly casino update will show whether June was a one-off decline or the start of a softer summer trading period.
