Delaware North has launched Ember Casino in New Jersey, starting a digital gaming rebrand for its online casino and sports betting business. The launch gives the company a new iGaming brand in one of the most competitive US online casino markets.
Ember Casino is listed as an approved New Jersey internet gaming site through Caesars Interactive Entertainment New Jersey. It also gives Delaware North a clearer online casino brand outside Betly.
Ember starts with New Jersey casino launch
New Jersey is the first market for the Ember Casino brand. The platform offers slots, live dealer games and other online casino content to eligible players in the state.
The launch expands Delaware North’s online casino presence beyond Betly. Betly has been used across the company’s digital sports betting and casino operations, including in West Virginia. Ember is part of a plan to bring Delaware North’s digital gaming products under one brand. The company is moving away from separate state products and toward one identity across regulated markets.
Playtech powers the new platform
Ember Casino runs on Playtech’s platform. Delaware North selected Playtech in 2024 to support its Betly mobile sportsbook and casino products. The New Jersey casino also uses Playtech’s BetBuddy responsible gambling technology. That adds monitoring tools and player protection features to the platform.
Delaware North has also expanded content and service relationships with IGT, White Hat Studios and Light & Wonder. Those deals bring casino titles and live gaming content to Ember.
Rebrand follows broader gaming push
Delaware North’s gaming business includes casinos and gaming venues across several US states, along with operations in Australia. Its portfolio includes Southland Casino Hotel in Arkansas and gaming properties in New York, West Virginia, Ohio, Arizona and Florida.
The company has also been active in digital betting through Betly. Its mobile sportsbook operations include Arkansas, Ohio and West Virginia. The Ember launch gives the group a clearer iGaming brand beyond sports betting. It also creates a brand that can be used across future online casino markets.
New Jersey gives Ember its first test
New Jersey gives Ember access to a mature online casino market with established brands and heavy promotional competition. The state has had legal iGaming since 2013 and remains one of the largest online casino markets in the US.
The launch now tests Delaware North’s digital rebrand in a live market. Ember enters with platform support, supplier deals and a regulated market access route, but it will need to stand out in a crowded state.
