LIGA MX has signed a US sponsorship agreement with Polymarket, bringing prediction markets further into football. The deal makes Polymarket the league’s official and exclusive prediction market partner in the United States.
The agreement includes official data and integrity support from Genius Sports. It covers LIGA MX competitions in the US, including Campeón de Campeones, which is scheduled for July 25, 2026, in Carson, California.
Polymarket gains official football partner
Polymarket will be able to use LIGA MX branding in the US under the agreement. The partnership gives the prediction market platform a direct link to one of North America’s most-watched football leagues.
For LIGA MX, the deal adds a new commercial partner before a major football summer. Mexican clubs have strong followings in the US, where large Hispanic audiences drive television, streaming and stadium interest.
The partnership also arrives before the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. That timing gives Polymarket a football-focused sponsorship while interest in the sport rises across North America.
Genius Sports handles data and integrity
Genius Sports will provide official data and integrity services for the partnership. Its data will help support market settlement and reduce disputes around match outcomes.
The company will also provide integrity monitoring and information-sharing processes. Those tools are important because prediction markets depend on accurate settlement and confidence in event results. For sports bodies, data partnerships can help keep event trading tied to official information. That becomes more important when markets involve football results, tournament outcomes or other match-linked events.
Prediction markets expand into sport
Prediction markets have grown beyond politics and finance into sports and entertainment. Platforms such as Polymarket allow users to trade contracts linked to real-world outcomes.
Sports contracts can look similar to betting when users trade on match winners or tournament results. That has brought scrutiny from gambling regulators, sportsbooks and sports integrity groups.
The LIGA MX agreement shows how prediction markets are still pushing toward official sports partnerships. It also gives Polymarket more visibility in a sport that already attracts heavy betting interest.
Campeón de Campeones adds US focus
Campeón de Campeones will be one of the events covered by the partnership. The match brings together the winners of LIGA MX’s Apertura and Clausura tournaments. The 2026 edition is scheduled for July 25 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. That gives the agreement a US-based football event tied to Mexican club audiences and official league data.
